Redefining Surveying Standards
Geotechnical site investigations are conducted after geophysical surveys to build on the gathered data to target soil and rock strata boundaries, engineering properties, and specific seabed features. Boreholes and Cone Penetration Tests (CPTs) are used to evaluate the physical characteristics of the seabed, while surface push CPTs provide a quick method for capturing soil stratigraphy. For cable route investigations, vibro-cores and CPTs are commonly employed.
Samples are taken to obtain the basic soil parameters in our offshore laboratories where detailed testing is done. Soil dynamics tests are often carried out to assess how the soil responds to constant dynamic loads from wind, waves, and currents.
This integrated approach delivers vital insights that facilitate informed decision-making and ensures reliable foundations for diverse construction projects in the oil and gas industry, port and harbour and more. Our capabilities include:
Jack up leg penetration analysis.
Pile capacity analysis.
Drivability analysis.
Mudmat analysis.
Spudcan-pile interaction.
Soil corrosion analysis.
Pile group effect.
Anchor holding and embedment.
Pipeline trench-ability and analysis.
